Certified Tier 5 for Sustainability
GH Display has been awarded the highest level for Sustainability – Tier 5. The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) is the trade body for the event industry. As part of the regulation GH Display has invited ESSA to independently assess the business for sustainability. ESSA believes the Sustainability Assessment module goes beyond the requirements of ISO standards, demanding tangible progress and evidence of improvement. The accreditation serves as independent verification of a company’s sustainability performance, providing credibility and recognition in the field of sustainability.
ESSA is a trade body representing the very best contractors and suppliers of goods and services to the UK’s thriving events industry.
ESSA has over 200 members, including GH Display Ltd, specialising in supplying services and goods to the event industry where each member has been through rigorous vetting and pre-approval to achieve membership and help drive industry excellence. ESSA Accredited is an annual company-level qualification, that is independently audited and provides demonstrable proof that the member company is operating at the required level to meet stage one requirements of assessing competence under CDM 2015. It aligns with the requirements of ISO 20121 Sustainable Event Management and other management system standards whilst adopting the principles of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) member schemes such as CHAS, Safemark and Greenlight.
Better Stands Programme
The Better Stands programme aims to unite and encourage exhibitors, along with their appointed contractors, to move away from disposable, single-use stands at events, in favour of reusable structures. A disposable stand (booth) is a space only (raw space) build that is used only once at a single event. They are typically constructed from poor quality raw materials onsite which are then demolished post show and sent to either landfill or burnt for energy. By moving away from the use of disposable stands we will improve the ease, safety and sustainability of the exhibitor experience at events.
